The American Red Cross provides services to active duty military members and veterans and people displaced from their home due to a disaster. Training in CPR, First Aid, Swimming Lessons, Lifeguard Training and other safety courses is available.

Athletics for Education and Success (AFES) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that strives to help the youth and families of Fort Dodge and Webster County by providing hope and motivation for them. We aim to do this by any means necessary, giving the youth and parents the power to decide what they need, want and what may help them be successful. We offer our youth after-school programs, sports teams, mentoring groups, drum line groups, educational and cultural opportunities and much more. In addition to providing exceptional programming, we provide our youth with a sense of belonging and the determination to succeed.

Emanuel Lutheran Church, 208 2nd Ave NW, Dayton

SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. The Food and Nutrition Service works with State agencies, nutrition educators, and neighborhood and faith-based organizations to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and can access benefits. FNS also works with State partners and the retail community to improve program administration and ensure program integrity.

Lord’s Cupboard provides emergency food and basic household supplies that should last about a week. Assistance given five times per year. Clients may come when in need at their discretion – no calendar restrictions. Perishable and nonperishable food items provided using a client choice form. Assistance is also available to households that have had a fire or family members of domestic situations with no income eligibility required in these emergency situations.

Faith based global organization with ministry of providing emergency assistance to the needy through social services program. Services include food pantry, emergency shelter, emergency financial assistance, food & nutrition programs, and noon meal.

WIC is the nation’s public health nutrition program for pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children under 5 years old. WIC is designed to designed to strengthen families by influencing lifetime nutrition and healthy behaviors in a specific high-risk population and provides nutrition counseling and education, breastfeeding promotion and support, checks to buy nutritious foods, immunizations and dental health screenings. This program is managed locally by the Webster County Health Department.
