Family to Family Support
24/7 Dads is a free 12-week group designed to help with the challenges of fatherhood. The program, which is put on by Children & Families of Iowa (CFI), focuses on fathers becoming more involved in their child’s life, learning good fathering practices, improving communication with children and other family members and respectful co-parenting. Child Health Specialty Clinics (CHSC) is a community-based public health agency that serves Iowa children and youth (from birth through 21 years of age) with special health care needs. CHSC partners with families, communities, service providers, policymakers and other state agencies including the Iowa Department of Human Services, Iowa Department of Public Health and Iowa Department of Education. CHSC administers Iowa’s Title V program for children with special health care needs including physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional issues.
MomTalk provides parent education and support for mothers raising children ages infant to 12 years. MomTalk addresses many issues facing families today including healthy lifestyle, self-sufficiency and improving family interactions. MomTalk is a program sponsored by Lutheran Family Service.
