Bethany Christian Services provides services to support and sustain expectant parents in unintended pregnancies through option counseling, resources, advocacy and more. A focus of this service is to de-stress expectant mothers and support them in connecting with their baby so that there is a better outcome for the baby.
Community and Family Resources (CFR) is dedicated to proactively assisting individuals, families and communities achieve healthy behavior and lifestyle through advocacy, treatment and prevention of substance abuse, problem gambling and mental illness. CFR’s addiction treatment services are provided to adolescents and adults on an outpatient basis as well as in a residential/inpatient setting. CFR offers the following programs: Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (ACSU), Recovery House, Prevention and Education, Detoxification, Residential Substance Use Treatment, Outpatient Substance Use Treatment, Problem Gambling Services, and Mental Health Services. Additional services include detoxification, transitional living/halfway housing and substance abuse/problem gambling prevention services. CFR has been a free standing comprehensive substance abuse provider dedicated to serving families since 1968. CFR has headquarters in Fort Dodge and also serves Boone, Calhoun, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Story, Webster and Wright counties. CFR is licensed by the State of Iowa to provide Substance Abuse Services and accredited as a Mental Health Service Provider by the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Provides victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault in North Central Iowa with confidential, 24-hour services, including emergency shelter, safety, support and education with the assistance of professional staff and trained volunteers.

Pre-K through 12 public education. Student Services providers assist students to be healthy academically, socially, emotionally and assist students in their career planning. Student Services providers include Student Services Director, Counselors, Bridges Case Management, Mental Health Therapist on staff, At-Risk Counselors and Coordinators, Nurses, Alternative School Staff and Drop Out Prevention Coordinator.
Free, confidential student counseling services are available to currently registered students at Iowa Central Community College. The Student Counseling Center provides a confidential, supportive environment where students may discuss personal and academic concerns and work toward making positive changes in thoughts, feelings, behaviors and relationships. Services include mental health assessments, brief counseling, referrals to Iowa Central and community resources, consultations for concerned persons, including faculty and staff, psycho-educational programming/information and more.
Krueger Counseling Center is an outpatient mental health center providing individual, family, conjoint and group counseling, as well as in-home counseling and CRISIS Interventions. Krueger Counseling Center is a subsidiary of Youth Shelter Care of North Central Iowa (YSC).
Rabiner Treatment Center provides a full continuum of services for the youth they serve. Their programming, which includes residential and non-residential care, is geared to meet a wide variety of client needs. Core services include on-campus education; individual, family and group counseling; skill development; vocational training; community volunteerism and community service and restitution. Non-residential programs include an alternative school suspension center, GED, vocational training, placement for children needing a more structured school environment. Their program employs cognitive restructuring and skill development to help youth focus on identifying and changing irresponsible thinking patterns. With a comprehensive continuum of treatment services that support safety, permanency and well-being, their evidence-based cognitive/behavioral approach reinforces pro-social behaviors.
As one of 18 Community Action Agencies in Iowa, Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO) works in conjunction with general relief offices to provide emergency assistance programs and services to low income residents in need.
Youth Shelter Care of North Central Iowa provides an emergency shelter for youth as well as community mental health therapy and in-home counseling. Also provides crisis intervention for youth and families.
